Ending Of My Golf Season With A Fun Event

By admin Sep7,2024

With the first week of September in the books, I look ahead and see that my golf season is quickly approaching. I realize that I can still golf through October, however as the weather changes, the number of hours that are available during any given day are drastically reducing. The shortening golf season happens every year and it is something I am prepared to accept. This year, I will end my season with a two day trip to participate in the 2024 Ontario Open Hickory Golf Championship.

If you are not aware, I love playing hickory sticks. They offer a different experience when playing golf. I have a greater feel for contact during each shot. Additionally, there appears to be more factors to consider when selecting clubs. Overall, playing hickory sticks is great fun and I am grateful to Lorne Emery for stoking my passion for playing 100 year old clubs.

Here are the quick details

I still plan to play golf in October, however not as much as during the middle of the season. Regardless, I am looking forward to the hickory stick event in a few weeks!

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
