The field for next week’s Constellation Furyk & Friends was already strong.

It’s now a bit more fun.

Two of golf’s most colorful personalities, John Daly and Boo Weekley, have been given sponsor exemptions to play in the PGA Tour Champions event Oct. 4-6 at the Timuquana Country Club. It will be Daly’s third appearance in the tournament and Weekley’s second.

Daly withdrew last year after rounds of 76-78, but played well in 2022, posting three under-par rounds in a row (71-70-71–212) to tie for 19th at 4-under 212.

Weekley tied for 53rd last year at 4-over 220, with a middle round of 69.

Daly is a two-time major champion and one of the biggest fan favorites on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. He has made 15 starts this season and earned $56,361. His best finish was a tie for 22nd at the American Family Insurance Championship.

Weekley, a three-time PGA Tour winner, will be coming to Timuquana with some momentum. The native of Milton tied for seventh in last week’s Pure Insurance Championship at Pebble Beach, with rounds of 68-69-71–208. He has made 19 starts this season and earned $286,816.

Who’s playing in the Furyk & Friends celebrity event?

Earlier this week, the tournament also announced that the annual celebrity event will feature the YouTube golfing sensation “Good Good,” who have more than 1.6 million subscribers and hundreds of millions of viewers for their content.

The foursome of Garrett Clark, Brad Dalke, Matt Scharff and Stephen Castaneda will play the back nine of Timuquana on Oct. 5 during the second round of the tournament.

“The rise in popularity of golf on YouTube and the impact of influencers like the Good Good team is really exciting for the future of the game,” said tournament host Jim Furyk in a statement. “They’re connecting with a new generation of golfers and showing that golf can be fun, inclusive, and accessible to everyone.”
