Dates, Venue & Format
The 45th Ryder Cup takes place from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th September 2025. Europe, captained by Luke Donald once again, will take on Keegan Bradley’s USA team in front of a passionate New York crowd at Bethpage Black..
As always, the format remains the same:
- Friday & Saturday: four morning foursomes matches followed by four afternoon fourballs.
- Sunday: 12 singles matches, all played head-to-head.
Tee Times (UK Time)
Bethpage operates on Eastern Time, so the first matches will start in the early afternoon in New York, which means later slots for UK viewers.
- Friday 26th September – Morning foursomes begin at 12:10pm BST, with matches every 16 minutes. Afternoon fourballs follow from 5:25pm BST.
- Saturday 27th September – Morning foursomes again at 12:10pm BST, with afternoon fourballs at 5:25pm BST.
- Sunday 28th September – Singles matches start from 5:02pm BST, with the rest following in short intervals until all 12 players are out on the course.
That means UK golf fans can enjoy daytime sessions on Friday and Saturday, before settling in for the singles matches on Sunday evening where the Ryder Cup will be decided.
Live TV & Streaming
If you want to see it all unfold live, Sky Sports Golf is the place to be. They’ll show every session from start to finish, plus the opening and closing ceremonies and practice rounds. Selected coverage will also run on Sky Sports Main Event.
- Friday & Saturday: coverage begins around 11:30am UK time, building up to the first tee shots.
- Sunday: singles coverage starts from 4:30pm UK time.
If you don’t have Sky, you can still follow live by streaming on Now TV. There are both day and month passes available.
Free-To-Air Highlights
For those without Sky, the BBC will once again provide nightly highlights. Expect a full round-up on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer from midnight each night, along with shorter clips and digital coverage online. It’s a great option if you don’t fancy staying up for every shot but still want to keep up with the key moments.
Radio Coverage
If you’re on the move, live radio coverage will be available through BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Live Sports Extra, with commentary across all three days. Stations like talkSPORT will also provide updates and analysis throughout the weekend.
The Ryder Cup is always special, but the New York fans at Bethpage Black should provide an incredible (and hostile) atmosphere.
Whether you’re tuning in on Sky from the first tee, catching BBC highlights before bed, or listening along on the radio, there are plenty of ways to follow Europe’s defence of the trophy.
