Odyssey are combining some of their most popular technologies in recent years with the introduction of the new S2S Tri-Hot Putters. Building on the Square 2 Square range from last year, the putters are another addition to the fast-growing zero torque category.
The latest collection sees the return of Tri-Hot to Odyssey’s collection. This time it comes with the added benefits of zero torque. The brand say that they have ‘revolutionised’ this market thanks to some clever weighting technology.
The multi-material construction offered by Tri-Hot allows Odyssey to move the CG of the putters much further forward in the head.
They use aluminium, steel, and more than 140g of tungsten. It puts more than 80% of the putter’s weight under the topline. This allows the hosel to enter the head much closer to the topline than other zero torque putters.
This results in a more natural setup position with less shaft lean – something that can often be off-putting to golfers who try zero torque for the first time.
Odyssey have used AI to develop a new dual-layer urethane insert. It has a soft outer layer, and firmer inner layer. This delivers more consistent ball speeds across the face, as well as more effective forward roll up and down the face.
Also new this year is a Forward Roll Design (FRD) Groove, which is deeper and more ‘progressive’ than before. It has a 19 degree angle, again helping to improve the roll.
Zero Torque putters can often come with some pretty funky or cumbersome grips. Odyssey are looking to address this with a new Pistol Plus grip. It’s a mid size grip with crisp edges, which is said to give you more awareness of where the face is during the stroke.
There’s also a Black PVD Stroke Lab 120 shaft. It’s heavier and stiffer than previous ranges to better suit the head types.

The new S2S Tri-Hot putters are available from 7th November in four different models: Jailbird, Seven, Rossie and Jailbird Cruiser. They’re priced at an RRP of £499, with the Cruiser having an RRP of £529.
