Adidas Celebrates 20 Years of Tour360 Shoes

2005 was the year that Tiger Woods won both The Masters and The Open, YouTube was launched, and Adidas first introduced their Tour360 shoe to the golf market.

Since then it’s become one of the most popular and most recognisable shoes in golf – used by amateur golfers and major winners alike.

The exclusive anniversary model features a like-for-like design of the original shoe, but with a modern update that sees the inclusion of Adidas’ best modern technologies.

There’s a waterproof leather upper, featuring Lightstrike cushioning in the forefoot and Boost in the heel.

A redesigned outsole has seven spike Thintech traction, along with technical secondary lugs to ensure you’re locked in during every swing.

A Torsion Tunnel combines with 360Wrap and an internal gusset, helping to provide stability and control.

“20 years ago, Tour360 challenged traditions by introducing a bold, athletic, high performing product that looked and performed unlike anything else. Over the next twenty years Tour360 became an icon and we never changed our mindset; pushing the limits of innovation and performance across more than 10 iterations of the franchise.”

“This celebrates the one that started it all, eliciting some nostalgia and emotion for those who were lucky enough to own and experience that first design.”

Masun Denison, Global Footwear Director, Adidas Golf.

The shoes will come in a special commemorative shoe box, featuring the designs of all Tour360 models dating all the way back to 2005.

If you look closer, you’ll also see a number of special added features too. These include an ‘est 2005’ embossed on the back of the tongue, and a replica silver logo on the back of the heel.

The Tour360 20th Anniversary model is available from today, in limited quantities on the Adidas website, app, and select retailers.
