A couple of years ago Golf Pride launched the popular Reverse Taper putter grip, and now theyโre following that up with a new Zero Taper grip to join the range.
The zero taper has a โparallel shapeโ, providing more of a comfortable and familiar look for golfers who have been used to using more traditional grip shapes. A number of design features have also been added to help optimise hand placement and encourage consistent grip pressure.
The idea is that it helps you to square the putter face at impact, which should provide more confidence and better results on the greens.
With more than 75 years of experience in grip technology, including decades as the number one grip in the game, Golf Pride are known for the quality and consistency of their products. The latest Zero Taper has been developed with a number of other performance benefits:
Consistent Hand Feel: A uniform geometric shape offers the same feel for both the lead and trailing hands. This promotes a more synchronised stroke, for those who prefer non-tapered grips.
Improved Face Awareness: The deeper side profile adds feedback, allowing golfers to sense, control and square the putter face better.
Ergonomic Anchor Point: The horseshoe shaped backside creates a natural and comfortable resting place for the fingers to sit.
Repeatable Hand Alignment: There are visual clues on the grip, helping to guide hand placement and encourage golfers to grip the putters the same every time.
Balance and Stability: The grips have a consistent weight profile regardless of size, making sure that the putter has the same sweet spot and ensuring that you can still feel the position of the putter head throughout the stroke.
The Zero Taper joins 2024โs Reserve Taper grip, and these two are in a small pool of Golf Prideโs grips to be built from polyurethane. The brand say that this produces an ideal balance of feel, texture and weight, to ensure the grips and soft and responsive.

There are specific traction elements and visual cues, helping to assist with finger placement and making them suitable for different ways of gripping the putter.
The new Golf Pride Zero Taper grips are available from 17th February, in either medium or large. Thereโs also a choice of three different colourways โ black, blue and red.
