Lower Golf Scores For Beginners

By admin May14,2024

The goal of every golfer is to shoot lower golf scores. To do this, we need to take advantage of every opportunity presented. For most players, par 3s offer our best chance to shoot under par on a hole. They are shorter in length and one good shot sets up for a birdie. If you are unsure how to set up for a par three, then you have come to the right place today. Have a look!

I have played many different par 3s over the years. The distances ranged from 99 yards to 220 yards. Each offered their own challenges, but the majority of the distances ranged from 140 to 160 yards in length. From that distance I would hit anywhere from a 9 iron to 4 iron depending on the wind, elevation, and how I was feeling that day. Regardless, there is a simple process to excel on par 3s. Thanks to Golf.com for the video.

As I head to the course today, I will keep all of this in mind. The biggest issue I have is not using my normal swing. For some reason I decide I have to change something that works. Well, that is an issue I have struggled with over the years, but not today. I say not today because I am thinking about it and will ensure I use my normal golf swing on shorter distances.

Next time you walk up to the tees on a par 3, think of these four steps and see what happens.

I am a grateful golfer! See you on the links!
