Titleist have announced an update to their low flying, low spinning AVX golf ball for 2024, with a re-engineered core and cover to provide longer distance, more greenside control and a softer feel.
Whilst the brand are obviously best known for their Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls, which are the most popular balls in golf for both professionals and amateurs, the AVX maintains its position as the ball for golfers who want lower spin and lower launch compared to the Pro V1 models.
The new AVX ball features three key updates:
- High gradient, high speed core
There’s a new high gradient, high speed core which Titleist’s say will provide longer distance from the tee to the green, combined with an exceptionally soft feel.
This is the same as the core technology used in the Pro V1 and Pro V1x balls, helping to reduce spin in the long game whilst still keeping spin and control up around the greens.
- High-flex casing layer, softer urethane cover
On top of the core is a new thin, high-flex casing layer which keeps the spin down on longer shots, whilst the soft urethane cover promotes more spin and stopping power with the scoring clubs.
Every ball in Titleist’s range has a unique aerodynamics package, designed to complement its construction and intended ball flight while optimising distance.
There’s a new 346 quad dipyramid catenary dimple design, which gives the ball a more penetrating trajectory to help golfers hit the ball a little lower.

The new Titleist AVX 2024 Golf Ball is available from 2nd February in both white and high optic yellow colourways, at an SRP of £42.
